Unsolved Moz doesn't find backlinks for months / link tracking list offline
-
Hi there
I want to share a big problem with you. Moz tracking list seems to be offline or having trouble finding links. I have an example:
The page where the backlink has been placed was created months ago. As you can see on the picture:
Link to the page is http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/profile/tableauxdumonde
Backlink on that page is https://ggongtime.com/Picture shows clearly that the page of backlink (Microsoft) has been indexed and already has got it's own backlinks in Moz (8) but it is still not linking to the backlink website (ggongtime.com).
I've also attached a picture of page source where you can clearly see that it is a html link and is dofollow.
The problem remains since 3 months and I want to find out what is going on. This Microsoft page is one of example. There are hundreds of other pages being found, or not, and are still not showing up in Link Explorer on website's portfolio.
I want to know if there is a technical problem with link explorer, or anything else, because this is a serious problem for me.

Hello,
I understand your concern regarding the issue you're facing with Moz tracking lists and the discrepancy in backlink recognition. It seems like you've provided a detailed example, including the page link, backlink, and relevant screenshots, which is very helpful.
If you've been experiencing this problem for the past three months and it involves numerous pages on my site, it does raise questions about the functionality of Moz's Link Explorer or the potential for a technical glitch. It's essential to get to the bottom of this to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of backlinks, which are crucial for assessing a website's performance.
I recommend reaching out directly to Moz's customer support or technical team to report the issue. They might be able to provide specific insights into whether this is a known problem, if there have been recent updates to their algorithms, or if there's any troubleshooting that can be done on your end.
It's crucial to address this matter promptly, given the impact accurate backlink data can have on SEO strategies. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I hope you find a resolution soon.

How does indexing backlinks affect SEO and search engine rankings?
Indexing backlinks plays a crucial role in the overall SEO strategy and search engine rankings. When search engines like Google crawl and index a website, they also consider the quality and relevance of the backlinks pointing to that site. Here's why indexing backlinks is important: Visibility in Search Results: Indexing ensures that search engines recognize and attribute value to the backlinks you have acquired. When indexed, these backlinks contribute to the overall link profile of your website and can positively impact your visibility in search results. Faster Indexation: By submitting your backlinks for indexing, you can speed up the process of search engines discovering and recognizing those links. This helps search engines recognize the relevance and authority of your website sooner. Enhanced Crawling and Ranking: Indexing allows search engines to crawl and evaluate the backlinks pointing to your site. These backlinks are considered as signals of trust and authority, which can influence your search engine rankings. Improved Domain Authority: When high-quality backlinks pointing to your site are indexed, they contribute to your website's Domain Authority (DA). A higher DA indicates a more authoritative and reputable website, which can positively impact your rankings and organic search visibility. Competitive Advantage: Indexing your backlinks gives you a competitive edge by ensuring that the value and authority of those links are properly recognized and taken into account by search engines. This can help you outrank competitors who may have unindexed or low-quality backlinks. It's important to note that not all backlinks may require manual indexing, as search engines can discover and index them naturally. However, for specific or newly acquired backlinks that may not be indexed quickly, manual submission or using indexing services can help ensure they are recognized by search engines and contribute to your overall SEO efforts.

Unsolved No replies from help@moz.rainyclouds.online - one of our IPs is blocked by Cloudflare so we cannot access Moz Community from there
Hi all,
Product Support | | DanielDL
I am a bit at my wits end trying to get some acknowledgement from MOZ. Have had no replies, no ticket auto-replies, no updates on any of the messages I have sent via the Moz Help Form on the website. Literally nothing. I wanted to avoid having to post publicly, but does anyone know how to raise a "technical problem" ticket with MOZ? help@moz.rainyclouds.online never replies and the Help Form doesn't generate any kind of ticket. From our main office we get an "Access denied" Error (via Cloudflare) specifically for the Moz Community area. This happened to us in February of this year and has been happening again all through May. After testing ourselves with our IT, we determine that MOZ's Cloudflare account has incorrectly blocked the dedicated IP address specific to the internet connection at our head office. This means that none of our Moz User accounts can access anything related to the Community area in our account when working at the studio. We can only do so when working remotely (ie. some other IP address). This is incredibly frustrating, particularly as we've been on a proper paid MOZ account for many years. And I have sent numerous email requests, messages via the Form, etc., and have never heard back from anyone at all. The problem has been on-going for some time and I guess it is my fault because I tried to politely wait a fair amount of time between each follow-up. Only to realize that, actually, I don't think anyone is monitoring help@moz.rainyclouds.online or even the Form submissions, or are even looking into the issue for me. Am hoping this message is seen by someone at Moz so they can let me know what is going on please? Guys..... c'mon.....0 -
Footer backlink for/to Web Design Agency
I read some old (10+ years) information on whether footer backlinks from the websites that design agencies build are seen as spammy and potentially cause a negative effect. We have over 150 websites that we have built over the last few years, all with sitewide footer backlinks back to our homepage (designed and managed by COMPANY NAME). Semrush flags some of the links as potential spammy links. What are the current thoughts on this type of footer backlink? Are we better to have 1 dofollow backlink and the rest of the website nofollow from each domain?

Backlinks on Moz not on Google Search Console
Moz is showing thousands of backlinks to my site that are not showing up on Google Search Console - which is good because those links were created by some spammer in Pakistan somewhere. I haven't yet submitted a disavow report to Google of well over 10K links because the list keeps growing every day with new backlinks that have been rerouted to a 404 page. I have asked Google to clarify and they put my question on their forum for an answer, which I'm still waiting for - so I thought I'd try my luck here. My question... If Moz does not match Google Search Console, and backlinks are important to results, how valid is the ranking that Moz creates to let me know how I'm doing in this competition and if I'm improving or not. If the goal is to get Google to pay attention and I use Moz to help me figure out how to do this, how can I do that if the backlink information isn't the same - by literally over 10 000 backlinks created by some spammer doing odd things... They've included the url from their deleted profile on my site with 100s of other urls, including moz.rainyclouds.online and are posting them everywhere with their preferred anchor text. Moz ranking considers the thousands of spam backlinks I can't get rid of and Google ignores them or disavows them. So isn't the rankings, data, and graphs apples and bananas? How can I know what my site's strength really is and if I'm improving or not if the data doesn't match? Complete SEO Novice Shannon Peel
