what I would suggest you do is Google the average time someone gets a response from dmoz
unfortunately I believe you'll find a lot of people waiting years not just 2 weeks. They are all essentially volunteers and there aren't enough of them to keep up with the work. I would not worry about that directory it had its day and it's a directory after all. You can get much better links using different tactics found here in SEOmoz than you ever will by registering your site with dmoz
I'm in agreement with you to leave it there and see if it works. I hope it does definitely do the Google search. But if it tells you something that doesn't agree with or I'm saying please let me know because I would be shocked.

The Open Directory Project (ODP), also known as DMOZ (from directory.mozilla.org, its original domain name) is and severely understaffed I've heard of people waiting 2 years to get there site listed. I would not bother to be completely honest with you and listen to something very important to you. However I do know it will not have a big effect on your rankings whatsoever all they can really do is change your description of your website which Google still honors for some reason. I honestly would put my time in 2 doing something other than trying to get in that particular directory with the site that is more productive than playing with Dmoz I've literally known people that have gotten jobs there to try to get their site listed and that did new work. Hi All I am running a website, I have been using Moz since Feb 2021. Kindly go through these pics My question is why Moz is showing 2K plus backlinks while Google search console is showing just 1253 backlinks. Why fewer links in the google search console is less? How much time does it takes for a backlink to get registered in Google? My basketball anime website has been live since start of this week and Google has not registered any backlink.
So my website https://www.animedhfa.com/basketball-anime/ about basketball Anime has shown no changes in DA or backlinks. It has been 5 days perhaps since it went live.

1000 of links on my website ? is it good or bad
Hi guys my site: www.dorchdanola-netbutik.dk is a e-commerce store, and generally we have many links on all pages because of the many products and categories. Im not sure if this is actually bad or good? I've been told that it will definately harm my site when google crawls it. The thing is that google visit my site often and I still have good pageranks in google. So does it actually harm my site having all these products and categories? And what can I do about it if google see every page as duplicate content? I also link to my social pages like FB, G+, e.g. Should I put rel="nofollow" or rel="me" on these social links? Thanks guys!

How can I find all the outbound links from a website domain?
I want to find all the outbound links (basically whatever comes in <a>tag) from a domain (say www.abc.com) as well as all the subdomains under it (say abc.com/a etc). Open Site Explorer provides the inbound links from a website but does not provide any functionality to get all the outbound links from a website. Is it possible to do?</a> <a>Thanks in advance. Dmoz.Org listings - how much more difficult can it be?
We have had a quality website for 12 years. We have good rankings and good PR. But for some reason, I have never been able to get listed on Dmoz.org - it's like they're not even reviewing it. It's not like I got a rejection letter or anything, just a no response and we just can't seem to get listed there. It's almost like the editors for our category are just not responsive or just not around. Or maybe they're a competitor and don't want us listed? Questions: 1. How important is it for an established site to get listed? I imagine that dmoz being an authority site, it would still be very helpful for rankings. 2. There are dmoz "submission services" - where they claim to list your site the proper way. They don't guarantee their service, since they obviously can't, and you have to pay either way. Does anyone recommend these services and anyone know of a particular one that is up & up? Any help on getting listed would be appreciated!

Where/should I post my press release/articles on my own website?
I have started a long-term article marketing campaign and press release distribution. I will have about 4 articles and press releases in total every month. Although the press releases will not be self-promotional, sometimes they will be talking about a certain product that we unveil. The question is, due to the high quality of these press releases, should I put them on my website as well as publish them on third party websites? If so, because they target a specific service/product which we already have a dedicated page on our website, wouldn't that put Google in the position of choosing between the two pages? I was thinking to put them on my blog and link internally from there with the keywords that I target on those pages as anchor text. The same question for articles. Any suggestions?
